- Park in the driveway: Upon reaching our studio, you’ll be able to park with ease. Just pull into the driveway, and you’ll be right where you need to be – moments away from stepping into our beautiful space.
- Remove your shoes: To maintain the pristine ambiance of our studio, we kindly request that you remove your shoes before entering. Our sanitised studio floor is a gentle reminder of the care we take in ensuring your little one’s comfort and safety during your session. Studio slippers are available to keep your toes warm and happy; and
- Sanitise your hands: Your well-being is our top priority, which is why we’ve thoughtfully placed hand sanitisers throughout the studio. Feel free to use them at any time, providing an extra layer of protection and peace of mind as we focus on capturing the beauty of your family.

On your baby’s arrival
It can be such an exciting and overwhelming time celebrating the arrival of your darling love, and we know you will be contacting many people when he or she arrives.
That being said, please do keep us informed following the birth of your baby. We go to great lengths to try and offer you the most optimal time period to capture the perfect images of your little one, and for this reason, we need to have as much notice as possible to try to do so. Please email our studio upon their arrival so that if necessary, we can make alternative arrangements for your appointment (sooner or later as the case may be) if required.
If possible, please also ask the hospital to remove the clip from your baby’s cord stump before you leave to go home. Some hospitals don’t offer this as standard protocol, so just be sure to ask them to do so before you leave. If not, please don’t worry – it’s very common for these to still be on during newborn sessions.
Before your Newborn Session
Please be sure to arrive on time and allow for any possible traffic as unfortunately arriving late will only further reduce your available allocated time, and ultimately the images we may be able to produce for you.
A little note: The photography session will be shorter (and more enjoyable!) for you, the happier and more settled your baby is. Therefore, we recommend trying to have a big, long feed to fill their belly before the drive to the studio. This way hopefully with a full tummy, your little one will be as settled as possible when arriving to the studio so we can get started immediately.
Please also dress your baby in a very easy to remove onesie with no singlet or other layers (use extra blankets for travel, if necessary) for easy removal when you arrive. Please bring a dummy if you use one – it can assist in soothing them at certain times during the session.
the newborn session experience
At your Newborn Session
We have absolutely no expectations when it comes to newborn sessions – not of timing, your baby or the images we capture. Your session will unfold exactly the way it needs to as we are confident that the time we spend with your baby will be a happy one and from that, beautiful photos will follow.
There is no rush with newborns and we will always use your baby as our guide. We do not mind if you need to feed or change your baby at some point during the session, and we encourage you to take a break to soothe your baby if he or she requires a little extra love and attention.
Newborn sessions can take quite some time if feeds/settling is required, and we do not want you to feel rushed or stressed. Please note that although we will try and accommodate any requests that you have during your session, please know that we are fully baby-led. This means that your baby is our guide during the session and the types of images that we achieve will be determined by your baby on the day.
Memories are the architecture to our identity.
If you request photos of your baby without a nappy on, it is normal (and okay!) for him or her to “relieve” him or herself on my or your things… or anywhere else! We can assure you this happens all the time and are not upset or offended – everything is always washed and cleaned. You are welcome to bring with you some baby wipes, spare nappies and a change of clothes although we do also have a full change station in the studio available to use including nappies and wipes.
The temperature in the studio is kept warm for newborn sessions to ensure that your tiny human remains relaxed and comfortable for their session and as such, we recommend that you come dressed in light layers.
We do also have a separate client lounge area at the front of the studio you are more than welcome to sit in if you’re feeling too warm in the studio itself.
Siblings
We completely understand how meaningful it is to include siblings, and we’re always more than happy to make this part of your session. We’ll usually begin with these images right at the start, so little ones can then head off afterwards (as the studio isn’t designed for busy toddler hands!).
That said, the success of these moments really depends on whether siblings are feeling cooperative on the day, and with toddlers, this can sometimes be unpredictable. For that reason, we generally recommend bringing siblings along only if you’re confident they’ll be happy to participate and able to follow direction. If not, it can be more stressful for parents at a time that’s already stretching you.
If you bring any food/snacks for them, please ensure these are dry, non-staining snacks only.

tips to make your session amazing
What to Wear
There is no need to bring clothing for your newborn.
For parents, there is a client wardrobe available in sizes 6-16. for your use (free of charge) which you are welcome to use so you look and feel your absolute best. You can view the selection available to you on the client wardrobe linked below – most clients choose to use our wardrobe.
For women, please wear (or bring) some nude/white underwear so it doesn’t show underneath lighter clothing. A plain white/light coloured t-shirt (no patterns) is best for men. We also have plain white t-shirts (S-XXL) available for use.
We also carry a very small range of toddler clothing (some dresses, pants and shirts).
If you’re using your own clothing, try and keep the look cohesive. Stick with clothes that are neutral (no logos, patterns) – lighter tones are best.
