{Photo-a-Day Project: A personal project that I undertake every January for an entire month taking one photo a day of my children. This is the 12th year of this project.}

      Kristen Cook Photo-a-Day January Project 2020 :: Day 6 // www.kristencook.com.au

      Australia is on fire. If only we could send this water at our feet right now to where it’s needed most.

      This January project has always been about you, my dear ones, and this environmental disaster of unseen proportions is ultimately about you too.

      Your present and your future.

      You are part of a nation that has come together in the only way we know how – to rally together, to get things done and dig in because it’s just what we do. Our hearts ache for those who have been personally affected by this tragedy – one that shows no signs of stopping any time in the near future. Our poor innocent wildlife has suffered and perished in unimaginable horror, and our beautiful land has been scorched beyond comprehension. Australia may continue to burn, but so will the drive and determination of hearts of our wonderful people on this land who show what true humanity is about. Out of this horrible devastation has come such love and sense of community, from not only our fellow Australians but indeed from those all over the world.

      Continue that love. Always.
